An outlying planet in the farthest reaches of the Galactic Human Republic.

An outlying planet in the farthest reaches of the Galactic Human Republic.

I’ve been writing a philosophical sci-fi book for the last couple of years. I’m about 70,000 words in and sporadically add a few hundred words as inspiration strikes!

It’s set several thousand years in the future a generation or so after the fall of an oppressive, collectivist, totalitarian regime that brought misery to all of human kind. We meet a range of inhabitants and follow their stories including a frustrated slacker, a scientist with a severe case of arrested development, a guy who’s recently left the highly populated area of the galaxy for an outlying, sparsely populated planet and the president of the fledgling new government.

The book contains some rather overtly libertarian, minarchist themes and deals with the issues of zealotry and the struggle against those who seek to dominate and impose on other humans. I’d be happy to send anyone who wants it a sample chapter.
